it has been a while since i last heard of the famous 'Guru Malaysia' song. being a teacher, 16th may is the day when teachers are appreciated (ye ke?) though we would be the ones who had to prepare every single thing for the big day :) well, since my days teaching in school were long over, i seldom hear the buzz of teacher's day celebration. sad isn't it? being a teacher in a college, sometimes (i feel) there is lack of student-teacher interaction. we don't spend time to listen to students, we don't talk to them as much as we get to in school. or maybe it's because the students themselves do not want to do so? heheh..budak dah besar panjang la katakan..mane cool lagi nak hang out kat teacher's room kan?
as for 16th may this year, i didn't expect anything special to happen. i spent my day watching tv (it was sunday k) and played with my son. funny thing is, the first person to wish me was my husband! i mean, out of hundreds (cehh..exaggerated a bit) of students, he was the first to wish me! hehe..later on that day, i received text messages from my students wishing me 'selamat hari guru, teacher wani!'. i felt so proud :) thanks guys! you made my day!
so here are some pics of the messages i received on fb. though not that many, i am still happy and thankful to know these wonderful people. thank you. thank you. thank you.
