taiping visit may 2010

i've been wanting to write about my super short trip to taiping recently but there were many things to be done. and updating my blog wasn't in the list. hehe :) so we went to taiping last two week to attend ashraf's friend's wedding. we he first told me that he wanted to go to the wedding i couldn't (and definitely wouldn't!) say no (afterall, i was the one who constantly bugged him about 'balik taiping' thing). so on the lovely friday morning, off we went to taiping! we stayed at Seri Malaysia hotel and elok je kitorang sampai, hujan pun turun dengan lebatnye (what else is new? ;p) so we stayed in our rooms, watching tv while imran played with tok ayah and tok mak. it was around 4.30pm that the rain stopped and (finally!) we got to jalan2. hehe..since i knew it was going to be a short trip, i didn't want to waste my precious time hanging around in hotel room. i wanted to see taiping!!!i missed taiping badly :D sempat jugak pergi visit maktab and jumpe a good friend of mine, syidi.

we first went to taiping zoo. nasib baik xramai orang. we got to take the train ride (hehe. pemalasnye aku) so we didn't need to walk. the ride was fun as we got to see lots of animals (sebab tu la name die zoo) but the seat was too kecik!! (or was it my butt....?) i rase mcm nak terhumban ok everytime die belok! not good! T_T imran seemed to enjoy watching the animals but he slept halfway through the ride. poor imran! he didn't get to see the elephants! and bears, and boars too (hehe)

as it was getting late (around 6.30pm) we headed straight to Bomba. ashraf and me were dying to eat taiping's famous yong tau foo. we were not too lucky because there were a lot of people so it was hard to find a parking space. but that didn't spoil our mood. we ordered our food and ate it right away! (terlupa nak amik gambar-sibuk nak makan punya pasal..hehe) malam tu pulak, lepak je kat bilik coz everybody was tired. i woke up early the next morning. hehe. i don't usually wake up early on weekends, so this is quite a record! :) after a hearty breakfast, i dragged ashraf to follow me to Taman Tasik. i even threatened him-'kalau awk xnak pergi, saye pergi sorang' and sulked. ashraf is such a sweetie pie. he gave in almost immediately. hahaha. luckily imran woke up early too, so after getting him ready, we packed our mini bag and went to Taman Tasik. nasib baik dekat. but on weekends, jalan sehala je. so kene pusing 1 round. oohhhh i soo love Taman Tasik!!sangat cantik :D so here are some of our pictures taken (mostly) by ashraf and some of them were taken by me.

after penat2 posing, kami pun balik ke hotel dan check out pukul 12. lepas tu, kami beramai-ramai (konvoi dengan ashraf's friends) ke kenduri rumah shameen. ramai jugak member MRSM Taiping yang dapat kami jumpa hari tu so tak sia-sia la kami datang dari jauh.. :)kepada shameen, selamat pengantin baru! may u have a blissful life with your hubby :) insyaAllah.

i enjoyed my weekend in taiping (though i secretly wished we get to stay a bit longer). takpe, lain kali kite datang lagi ok!
