alhamdulillah, this year, i got to spend my first raya with my family at bangi. yeayy! (not that i don't enjoy being at in laws' side, it's just that the feeling is different-being with your family on the first hari raya. a feeling that is beyond any description, but i'm sure most of us can relate to it)
so the theme was green, but i only knew it few days before raya, and ashraf and i had decided on yellow baju melayu and baju kurung, so no green for me..hehe (luckily i'm not a big fan of green. it was a relief not to buy baju raya of that colour hehe).
i think we had the simplest celebration this year. we had carrot rice with ayam masak merah, rendang daging, gulai kawah and some other dishes. after the sesi bersalaman, we took lots of pictures, inside and outside the house. it is our sort of wajib thing to do on the first raya- photography session.
